Blockchains and the EU’s GDPR – An unlikely match

The European Union (“EU”) has an opportunity to lead the world in the adoption of blockchain networks by adjusting their data protection regulations to benefit EU citizens.  Unfortunately, current EU regulations of data privacy are rooted in fundamentally different philosophies than blockchain-based approaches.
